Alight is a concept AI device built for human connection, not data capture. Inspired 

by the humble tape recorder, it helps families stay close across generations. 

Satellite units track movement and pair with calendar scheduling to detect when 

loved ones are free, signalling their presence through light rather than a screen 

notification. Calls can be made device to device or to a phone. A single buttonpress records conversations, with all par ticipants notified and nothing stored 

without consent. Over time, recordings accumulate into a private, offline archive of 

voices, stories and memories, searchable with AI, and owned entirely by the family.
