K ibu is a 3D printed headphone designed for children aged 5 to 11. Built to be
assembled, repaired and recycled, children put the headphones together
themselves, building an understanding of how products are made. The modular
design requires no screws or glue, allowing easy disassembly with little hands.
Plastic par ts can be returned, ground down and remade into new pairs. Plastic
components are 3D printed locally from recycled PL A sourced from agricultural
packaging waste.
