This exhibition is the practical outcome of the second year of the "General Education" course "Space and Field" at Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts. This year, the course introduced a university-wide theme of "Inside and Outside", and each college, adhering to its own professional background, responded to the same theme from multiple perspectives under the cross-disciplinary teaching approach.

Since the 1960s, space has no longer been regarded as a static material container, but has been reinterpreted as a dynamic "field", which carries relationships, movements and meanings, is the carrier of social life, and also reflects social relations. Each college took this as the premise of "space cognition" and, around the theme of "Inside and Outside", extended the understanding of space from physical attributes to cultural, psychological and social dimensions. In a series of dialectical relationships such as privacy and publicness, concealment and manifestation, self and others, they carried out their own creative practices.

The course takes "curatorial thinking" as the core logic, draws on the planning mechanism, and presents the diversity of the problem through structured narration and diverse dialogues. Each college autonomously constructed sub-projects and teaching modules, forming a content system that is both independent and in harmony, breaking through professional barriers, and the course itself became a comprehensive curatorial practice. This exhibition is the concentrated presentation of this exploration.

As the visual team of this exhibition, we broke up the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts map and reassembled it with individual pieces of puzzle.

It is pixels, and also every little bit that constructs the campus.

From dynamic posters to 12 college logos, from exhibition signs to navigation systems, and even preparing promotional videos under the scorching sun... Every pixel hides our summer memories.

📍 Design Disassembly:

• Radiating Map: Centered on the letter "G", it expands outward, representing the diffusion of the field and the burst of creativity.

• The Dissection of 12 Colleges:

•🗡️ Painting School: Sharp "swords", engraving the strength and thickness of printmaking.

•🌱 Traditional Chinese Painting: Growing "green buds", carrying the vitality and accumulation of traditional ink color.

•☁️ Bay School: Conversational "clouds", envisioning new media imagination towards the future.

This school is the gathering place for all the final projects of first-year students.

This summer, using pixels, connect every coordinate of GAFA.
