This painting was captured during my sketching in Xishuangbanna, Yunnan Province, depicting a mundane moment in the market: People were carrying fruits and vegetables and passing each other by. Red fruits were gently dropping out of the bags, leaving a patchy shadow in the sunlight. I used warm and hazy tones to blur the hustle and bustle of the background, focusing on the poetry in the ordinariness. It is not a depiction of magnificent scenery, but rather showcases the leisure of the market, the gentle nature of daily life, and the unique slow pace of Xishuangbanna. This is a visual love letter dedicated to the local warmth, and also a tender praise for the true face of life.
