A total of 233 works were selected nationwide.

It is understood that the "National Graphic Design Exhibition" is held every five years. As an authoritative and influential national-level special exhibition in the field of graphic design, it showcases the latest achievements and development trends in my country's graphic design field.

According to the official website of the China Artists Association, the "Second National Graphic Design Exhibition" was held to stimulate the cultural innovation and creativity of the entire nation, give full play to the leading role of graphic design in shaping the national image, highlighting the national spirit, and enhancing the country's cultural soft power, promote the application of art and design in public services and cultural industries, and better serve the people's needs for a high-quality life.

On November 18, 2024, the "International Poster Exhibition of Asian Urban Culture and Commemorative Activities for the 50th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between China and Malaysia", co-organized by the Asia Design Week Organizing Committee and the Malaysian Graphic Design Association, and hosted by Dalian University of Technology, UCSI University, and other institutions, grandly opened at Dalian University of Technology. This event not only marked an important milestone in cultural exchange between China and Malaysia, but its main visual was also successfully selected for the "Second National Graphic Design Exhibition", showcasing the vibrant energy and profound heritage of Asian design art and further demonstrating the international influence of Chinese design.

Following its initial exhibition at Dalian University of Technology, the exhibition toured Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Beijing, Shijiazhuang, Xi'an, and other cities . Numerous universities, including UCSI University Malaysia, Hebei University of Science and Technology, Xi'an University of Posts and Telecommunications, North China University of Technology, Hebei University, Wuxi University, Hebei University of Science and Technology, and Dalian Academy of Arts, actively participated in organizing the tour, further expanding the event's influence. The event garnered hundreds of thousands of views on Xiaohongshu (a Chinese social media platform) under the hashtag "Malaysia-China Diplomatic Relations and the International Poster Exhibition of Asian Cities Culture," and was also included by the Kuala Lumpur government in its application to the UNESCO Creative Cities Network.

It is worth mentioning that the main visual design of this exhibition was created by three designers , Zhou Menghui, Miao Ping and Zhao An . Their works interpret the diverse coexistence of Asian urban cultures with a unique visual language.

The selection of the main visual for the International Poster Exhibition of Asian Urban Culture as a national-level exhibition in China marks a new stage in cultural and artistic cooperation between China and Malaysia. This not only showcases the international influence of Chinese design but also promotes the global dissemination of Asian design art. These works are not only a testament to the friendship between the two countries but also provide a model for cultural exchange within the global design community. We look forward to more designers using creativity as a bond to promote deeper integration of Asian and global cultures in the future.
