Asia Design Week, in collaboration with the AICC Lab of the Institute for Cultural Industries at Peking University , the International Public Welfare Design Association of Tsinghua University Students , and the D&A Lab of the School of Innovation Design at the China Academy of Art, will jointly present the Artificial Intelligence and Experimental Art Exhibition Area at the Asia Design Week Exhibition Area in the Xiong'an Green Building Exhibition Center, Hebei Province , from September 19 to 22, 2024. The exhibition will delve into the cross-disciplinary integration of generative artificial intelligence and experimental art. Experts and artists from different fields will share their innovative works and practical experiences, demonstrating how to use artificial intelligence technology to break through the boundaries of traditional art and create unprecedented visual and sensory experiences.

Peking University Joint Laboratory for Artificial Intelligence and Cultural Creativity

As leading cultural and technological research institutions in China, the Institute for Cultural Industries, the Institute for Cultural Heritage and Innovation, and the Institute for Advanced Studies in Information Technology at Peking University are deeply exploring the diverse application scenarios of metaverse digital technologies, such as artificial intelligence and virtual reality, within China's cultural tourism industry. The three institutes have jointly established the "Artificial Intelligence and Cultural Creativity Correlation Lab" (AICC-Lab). Based on the top-level design of the Chinese Aesthetics Gene Bank, the AICC-Lab is dedicated to promoting the digital preservation and dissemination of traditional Chinese culture, providing digital platform support for enhancing the international dissemination effectiveness of traditional Chinese culture and local cultural tourism industries, and better addressing contemporary challenges.

Tsinghua University Student International Public Welfare Design Association

The Tsinghua University Student International Public Welfare Design Association focuses on the spatial needs of vulnerable groups in the international community. Through project research, planning, design and implementation, it helps these groups improve their living spaces and thus enhance their living conditions, fully leveraging the value of design and providing students with a platform for cross-cultural communication and spontaneous public welfare projects .

Generative Artificial Intelligence Innovation Design Laboratory, China Academy of Art

The Generative Artificial Intelligence Innovation Design Laboratory at the China Academy of Art integrates the strengths of the Academy's design disciplines, assembling student teams in operations, technology, and design. Adhering to the development philosophy of "faculty guidance, student autonomy, and interdisciplinary collaboration," the laboratory conducts research and project development in interdisciplinary fields such as artificial intelligence and visual communication, product design, and art short films. This promotes the integration of industry, academia, and research, and fosters interaction and innovation between artificial intelligence technology and art culture. The laboratory constructs a three-in-one ecosystem of "knowledge accumulation + project practice + talent cultivation," breaking down disciplinary barriers to jointly explore sustainable projects and drive the transformation of scientific and technological achievements. Utilizing artificial intelligence technology and artistic expression, it aims to establish a leading advantage in areas such as algorithmic art and digital innovation, promoting interaction and innovation between artificial intelligence technology and art culture.
