On March 5, 2024, Penang, Malaysia – The China Brand Gala of the 45th IAA World Advertising Congress came to a successful conclusion. Initiated jointly by the China Advertising Association and China Enterprise Wonder Group in 2019, the gala received strong support from the Consulate General of China in Penang, the International Advertising Association (IAA), the Penang State Government, and the Shanghai Public Relations Association. At this dynamic event, Chinese brands showcased their rise and prosperity on the global stage, conveying the strength and charm of China’s brands.

Known as the "Silicon Valley of the East," Penang holds an important position in the electronic and electrical industry in Malaysia and even ASEAN. Ms. Ding Qiao, Deputy Consul General of China in Penang, emphasized the positive contributions of Chinese-funded enterprises in the consular district to local economic development. She expressed hope that the event would introduce more outstanding Chinese products and enterprises to Penang and Malaysia, deepening mutual understanding and friendship between China and Malaysia.

Another important announcement was made at the gala: Shanghai International University Advertising Festival and Asia Design Week signed a cooperation agreement to jointly create a new era of global advertising. Represented by Mr. Du Guigen, President of the Shanghai Advertising Association (Shanghai International University Advertising Festival) and Mr. Li Xing, Secretary General of Asia Art & Design Association (Asia Design Week), the two sides joined hands to bring more innovation and vitality to the global advertising and design industry.
