Asian Vanguard Art and Design Award (AVADA)
February 21, 2026

The Asian Vanguard Art and Design Award (AVADA) was initiated by Asia Design Week as an international award platform dedicated to emerging talents in art and design across Asia and beyond. With the mission of “discovering new creative forces, fostering cross-disciplinary integration, and promoting international exchange,” the award seeks to build a dynamic bridge connecting Asia with the global creative community.

As a flagship program under Asia Design Week, the Asian Vanguard Art and Design Award brings together design associations, universities, and professional institutions from multiple countries and regions. It covers a wide range of disciplines, including visual communication, product design, digital art, spatial design, illustration, new media art, and interdisciplinary practices. The award emphasizes innovation, cultural expression, and social responsibility, encouraging young creators to explore the integration of local cultural identity with contemporary global design language.

Selected and award-winning works are given opportunities to participate in international touring exhibitions, academic forums, and cross-border exchange programs, with showcases planned across China, Southeast Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and other regions. Through a rigorous academic evaluation system and diverse communication platforms, the award aims to establish an open, fair, and internationally oriented assessment framework.

More than a recognition, the Asian Vanguard Art and Design Award serves as a long-term empowerment platform for emerging creative talents, contributing to the innovative expression and global positioning of Asian art and design.
