Regarding Certificate Authenticity, Usage Regulations, and Appointment Term Management

Recently, during ongoing internal investigations, the Asia Design Week Organizing Committee has discovered that:

In addition to isolated cases involving forged certificates, appointment letters, and authorization documents, there are also individuals whose appointments have expired or whose terms have officially ended, yet continue to conduct external publicity, resource coordination, project cooperation, and even commercial activities in the name of “Asia Design Week.”

Such actions constitute serious violations against the Asia Design Week brand and organizational governance system, while also creating substantial risks of misinformation toward partner institutions and the public.

To safeguard industry order and organizational credibility, the Asia Design Week Organizing Committee hereby issues the following solemn statement:

Solemn Statement Regarding Unauthorized Use of Identity and Expired Appointments

All positions within Asia Design Week (including but not limited to: Organizing Committee members, council members, advisors, curators, judges, editorial board members, reviewers, etc.) are subject to a strict appointment term management system.

Any individual whose appointment term has expired and who has not completed official renewal procedures:

Shall, effective immediately, no longer possess any qualification to represent Asia Design Week in activities, external cooperation, or public affairs.

The Organizing Committee has currently identified cases involving:

• Unauthorized promotion using identities such as “Member of the Asia Design Week Organizing Committee”
• Unauthorized use of Asia Design Week materials to connect with government bodies, universities, or institutional resources
• Conducting so-called “Co-Organizer” or “Official Cooperation” activities without authorization
• Engaging in commercial or利益-related exchanges under the organization’s name

Asia Design Week hereby solemnly declares:

All aforementioned actions shall be deemed unauthorized conduct and bear no relation whatsoever to Asia Design Week.

Asia Design Week shall assume no responsibility for any cooperation risks, financial losses, disputes, or legal liabilities arising therefrom.

Regarding the individuals and behaviors involved, Asia Design Week reserves the right to adopt the following measures depending on the severity of the case:

• Public disclosure across online platforms
• Inclusion in industry risk watchlists
• Notification to relevant universities, institutions, and partner organizations
• Legal action in accordance with applicable laws (including but not limited to infringement, fraud, and related offenses)

Mandatory Risk Warning to All Partners

Asia Design Week hereby solemnly reminds all organizations and individuals:

Before initiating any cooperation, the following verification procedures must be completed:

• Verify whether the individual appears on the official active personnel list on the Asia Design Week website
• Verify whether valid official authorization documents or public announcements exist
• Verify whether the activity belongs to the officially announced project system

Any cooperation not officially verified shall be regarded as high-risk behavior.

Should any partner independently sign agreements or conduct cooperation with unverified individuals:

All resulting disputes, losses, and legal responsibilities shall be borne solely by the cooperating party and shall have no relation to Asia Design Week.

Officially Authorized Certificate Categories

(The Sole Valid List)

The only legally valid certificate categories currently recognized by Asia Design Week are as follows:

1. Organizational and Academic System

• Organizing Committee and Council Appointment Letters
• Appointment Letters for Editorial Board Members / Reviewers of Design and Art Studies

2. Exhibition and Competition System

• International Poster Exhibition of Asian Urban Culture (2024 & 2025 Editions)
• Asian Vanguard Art and Design Award (AVADA)
  • Judge Appointment Letters
  • Award Certificates
  • Selection Certificates
• Asian Vanguard Art and Design Exhibition (AVADE)
  • Curator Appointment Letters
  • Curatorial Certificates
  • Selection Certificates
  • Invitation Letters

Beginning in 2025, only award winners are permitted to properly use the official logo.

3. Collaborative Exhibition Areas and Joint Events

• Cooperative projects such as Hebei International Industrial Design Week
• Cooperative projects involving international design festivals, design weeks, and exhibitions

4. International Conferences and Forum System

• Participation Certificates
• Organizer Certificates
• Reviewer Certificates
• Speaker Certificates

5. ASEAN-China Design Convergence Series

• Certificates related to exhibitions, forums, and competitions

6. Volunteer and Internship System

7. Other Publicly Announced Official Events and Evaluations

Except for the categories listed above:

All other certificates shall be regarded as unofficial documents.

Official Anti-Counterfeiting System

(Fully Activated)

Asia Design Week has officially established and activated a comprehensive anti-counterfeiting system, including:

• Unified Certificate Coding System (Unique Identification Numbers)
• Online Certificate Verification Platform (Real-Time Verification)
• Digital Signature and Anti-Counterfeiting Identification System
• Public Official Database Inquiry System

Any certificate not included within the above systems shall automatically be regarded as invalid documentation.

Certificate Verification Mechanism

All relevant lists have already been publicly disclosed, including:

• Award Lists
• Selection Lists
• Exhibition Lists
• Curator Lists

If any doubts remain:

Verification requests may be submitted, and official responses will be provided within seven working days.

For confirmed cases of forgery:

• Public announcements will be issued

Certificate Usage Regulations

• International associations may simultaneously initiate legal procedures
• Offenders may be included in industry risk blacklists

Appointment Term Regulations

Individuals whose appointment terms have expired and who have not renewed their appointments:

Must use the designation:

“Former + Position + Years”

For example:

Former Asia Design Week Council Member (2023–2024)

False appointment claims:

Will be directly reported to the offender’s affiliated institution and subjected to accountability procedures.

Prohibition on the Use of Official Names and Visual Identity

Without official authorization, the following are strictly prohibited:

• Use of the name “Asia Design Week”
• Use of official logos, seals, or VI systems

Violations will result in:

Asia Design Week hereby solemnly states:

Any act involving forgery, impersonation, tampering, unauthorized usage, or illegal utilization shall result in:

• Public disclosure across online platforms

• Notification to universities, institutions, and government agencies
• Legal accountability in accordance with applicable laws, without limitation

At the same time, all partners are once again reminded:
