Honorary President of Asia Design Week

Asia Design Week is pleased to officially announce that Professor Pradyumna Vyas, a leading figure in international design education and design promotion and the current President of the World Design Organization (WDO), has been invited to serve as Honorary President of the Asia Design Week Organising Committee, with a term spanning 2026 to 2030.

In this role, Professor Vyas will participate in the future development of Asia Design Week in an advisory capacity, providing strategic guidance on key themes including design-led innovation, sustainability, and cross-cultural collaboration.

Professor Pradyumna Vyas is currently the President of the World Design Organization (WDO) and formerly served as Director of the National Institute of Design (NID), India’s premier design institute. He is also the Senior Advisor for Design Promotion and Innovation at the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). With almost 40 years of experience in design practice and education, Professor Vyas has played a pivotal role in shaping national design policies and advancing international design cooperation. His long-standing contributions to design education, industrial development, and global design exchange have had a sustained and far-reaching impact.
