

On October 12, 2025, The 2nd International Poster Exhibition of Asian Urban Culture and the "Belt and Road" Digital Art Exhibition of China ASEAN Integration Overseas Tour Exhibition at Mahasarakham University was held at the Faculty of Fine-Applied Arts and Cultural Science, Mahasarakham University. This exhibition is organied by the Asia Design Week, co-organized by Malaysian Graphic Design Association, Macao Poster Design Association, Design Asia Collective and hosted by the Malaysian Graphic Design Association, the Macao Poster Design Association and the Asian Design Alliance, and hosted by Faculty of Fine-Applied Arts and Cultural Science ,Mahasarakham University. Through the collection and exhibition of 82 poster design works and digital dynamic works, including works on the theme of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Thailand and the "Belt and Road" theme, this event successfully created a cultural feast that transcends international boundaries. This tour exhibition not only vividly interprets the core concept of the "Belt and Road", but also takes the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Thailand as an opportunity, using art as a medium to bridge the gap of language and culture, and reflects the 50 years of friendly exchanges between China and Thailand in images and designs. Through design, it showcases the friendly relations between the two countries and injects more warmth and tacit understanding into future exchanges and cooperation.

Dr. Arkom Sa-Ngiamviboon, the vice dean of Faculty of Fine-Applied Arts and Cultural Science,Mahasarakham University, said in his speech at the opening ceremony of the touring exhibition that this exhibition celebrates the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Thailand through visual design, serving as a bridge for cultural exchanges between the two countries. Through the creative design works of designers, it vividly showcases the vitality of contemporary art, promotes deep friendship and cultural interaction, and opens a window for us to perceive the pulse of contemporary Chinese art. This event not only inspires creative inspiration but also will promote the dialogue between Chinese and Thai civilizations towards a new future.

Dr. Miao Ping, the chief curator and chief planner of the International Poster Exhibition on Asian Urban Culture and an associate professor at Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts, shared the exhibition project based on her own design practice and achievements. She discussed the inseparable relationship between exhibition planning and design practice, and realized that communication and cooperation are the fundamental driving forces for stimulating creativity and promoting design progress. This project was successfully held in the first session and has accumulated certain experience. In 2025, it coincides with the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Thailand. By holding this exhibition, it gathers the design forces of Asia, uses art as an opportunity, and builds a tangible cross-cultural exchange platform to showcase the diversity and innovative vitality of urban culture. It has proved through practice that art can promote mutual learning among civilizations and open up unlimited possibilities for future common development.

Subsequently, Dr.Naruebodin Saleepun, a dance artist from the Department of Performing Arts, presented a dance performance for everyone.The dancers presented a dance feast titled "Plants and Life". Dr.Naruebodin Saleepun showcased art and life through dance, adding luster to the event.

And, Curator Miao Ping presented the "Fu Yun Hu" cultural and creative products from Heilongjiang Oriental College in China to the dean and experts of Mahasarakham University, bringing the atmosphere of friendly cooperation and mutual promotion of cultural exchange at the scene to a climax.

The moment when the guests visited the exhibition
After the ceremony, the on-site guests and audience freely entered the exhibition area. While enjoying the selected masterpieces of art from various countries, they were immersed in the dance performances full of regional flavor and the experience of local specialties. This arrangement not only enriches the cultural dimension of the event, but also builds a cultural feast integrating visual, taste and emotional communication in a way that is "observable, savored and felt", vividly interpreting the new scene of art exchange where art and life blend and tradition and contemporary echo each other.

This overseas tour exhibition will last until November 13, 2025 and will be held successively in Malaysia and Thailand. The 2nd International Poster Exhibition of Asian Urban Culture and the "Belt and Road" Digital Art Exhibition of China ASEAN Integration was held in conjunction with the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Thailand. Through posters and digital art as media, it not only vividly showcased the diverse features and contemporary spirit of Asian design, but also presented a gift to this historic moment with art as a carrier, opening a new chapter of cultural exchange and mutual learning.Finally, we took a group photo together, and the opening ceremony was successfully completed in a happy and grand atmosphere.
