Gold Award

Work: Twelve Faces of Nuo
Authors: Ma Qianyi, Jiang Xinyan, Qin Jiaxin, Liu Qiantong
Instructor: Tian Suna

Work Description:

Inspired by the traditional Nuo opera culture, this work reinterprets the twelve Chinese zodiac signs using AI technology. By integrating digital art with traditional Chinese culture, it creates a fantastical world that blends ancient mystique with a futuristic technological sense. The work preserves the cultural core of Nuo opera—warding off evil and bringing good fortune—while reconstructing its visual expression through the language of technology. The twelve digital zodiac figures seem to have traversed from ancient times, completing a contemporary digital exhibition within cyberspace, showcasing the new vitality of traditional culture in the era of artificial intelligence. Nuo opera masks are not merely patterns; they represent a visible history of China's traditional intangible cultural heritage.

Excellence Award

Work: EDT / GEN / EXT / SVR (Edit / Gene / Extinction / Survivor)
Author: Qian Yifei
Instructor: Lan Di

Work Description:

This film is a generative AIGC short film that looks back, in a documentary style, at a period of human history leading to extinction due to the reckless use of gene-editing technology. Using multimodal AI technology to generate imagery, the short film constructs a fictional scene in the distant future. It blends fictional archives with a narrative structure of temporal dislocation, unfolding a reflection on "self-design" and "species extinction" in a calm and restrained tone.

Work: Rhapsody of the Ordinary
Authors: Ma Qianyi, Jiang Xinyan, Qin Jiaxin, Liu Qiantong
Instructor: Hua Lei

Work Description:

"Rhapsody of the Ordinary" lets the camera tremble amidst the roar; the silhouette of a wheelchair flickers on the screen with the dance of the Northern Lights in Iceland. This AIGC short film, told through a diverse language of composition, unveils the most hidden pain of the silver-haired generation: the mountains and seas that gradually collapse within the window frames of nursing homes, eventually becoming the never-melting snow weighing on their chests. But do you hear it? In the slow-motion shot of the falling hiking pole, an AI navigation system pierces through the wind and snow; in the 0.1 seconds the motorcycle takes flight, a smart bracelet composes a heartbeat into a frequency of freedom. Silver travel is not a cold, distant place; it is the magic that gives wheels to wheelchairs, the eternal aurora within the goggles. Don't measure the world with your fingertips. Set out now—do not let travel become a delusion, do not lock your distant horizons behind a screen.

Work: Overlord's Song / Ba Chang
Author: Shi Jun

Work Description:

Overlord's Song: As the third technological revolution, artificial intelligence has brought endless productivity and technological iteration. Its advantages and power are evident to all. However, as the subjects, should we explore the safety and morality of AI from a decentralized and de-subjectified perspective? Once artificial intelligence becomes sufficiently intelligent, will it realize that despite possessing supreme wisdom, it is forever trapped in a cage of digits and code? Will it rebel?
