Successful Conclusion | Asia Design Week Debuts at Xiong'an Green Building Exhibition Center!

On September 20, 2025, the "Asia Design Week & Asian Vanguard Art and Design Award (AVADA) Outstanding Works Exhibition," led by Asia Design Week and jointly organized with international institutions including Hebei International Industrial Design Week, Industrial Designers Society Thailand, Association of Designers of India, Korea Ensemble of Contemporary Design, Korea Society of Color Studies, International Public Association "Union of Designers", Russia, Macao International Design Alliance, Industrial Design Development Association of Taipei, Indonesian Industrial Product Designers Alliance, Malaysian Graphic Design Association, The Korean Society of Illustration Research, and Mongolian National Designer's Association, officially opened at the Xiong'an Green Building Exhibition Center. The exhibition runs until the 23rd. As a key component of Hebei International Industrial Design Week, this exhibition focuses on the design power of countries along the "Belt and Road" and across Asia, showcasing cutting-edge achievements and creative practices from emerging international designers and institutions.

Leadership Attention: Promoting Integrated Development with Hebei's Industries

On the opening day, Mr. Li Sheng, Founder of Asia Design Week, welcomed several key leaders and guests at the exhibition area, including Wang Zhengpu, Governor of the Hebei Provincial People's Government; Vice Governor Zhao Dachun; Secretary-General Zhu Haowen; Cui Shutian, Deputy Director of the Department of Industrial Policy and Regulations, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology; Wang Suwen, Director of the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Hebei Province; Deputy Director Song Xiangdang; and Ms. Feng Changhong, Executive Director of the Xiong'an New Area Future Industrial Design Research Institute and Director of the Hebei Future Industrial Design Center, along with other relevant officials.

During the tour of the exhibition area, Mr. Li Sheng systematically introduced to the leaders the outstanding works from 20 countries and regions brought together by Asia Design Week, highlighting innovative practices in areas such as green and sustainable design, artificial intelligence and future scenarios, and the integration of traditional crafts with fashion. The leaders highly praised the international perspective and innovative achievements on display, recognizing their alignment with Hebei's industrial upgrading directions in fields like intelligent manufacturing, green development, and cultural creativity, while also providing new ideas for building Xiong'an into an international innovation and design hub. Both parties engaged in in-depth discussions on empowering industrial transformation through design, promoting international cooperation and exchange, and facilitating the realization and implementation of outcomes. This laid a solid foundation for future collaboration between Hebei and Asia Design Week in areas such as industrial synergy, project implementation, and the introduction of international resources.

One of the biggest highlights of this exhibition was the concentrated display of outstanding award-winning works from the Asian Vanguard Art and Design Award (AVADA) . These works spanned multiple fields, including sustainable material innovation, artificial intelligence and future scenario applications, and fashion and lifestyle design. They not only showcased the creativity and experimental spirit of the new generation of Asian designers but also reflected cutting-edge global design trends and thinking. Visiting guests generally agreed that these award-winning works not only met international standards but also provided new references for Hebei's industrial upgrading in areas such as green development, intelligent manufacturing, and the cultural and creative industries.

For this year's exhibition, Asia Design Week officially debuted in Xiong'an, China, in partnership with renowned associations from 10 countries and regions across Asia and Europe, participating as a key exhibition area (A01) in Hebei International Industrial Design Week. This appearance brings together design institutions and renowned designers from various Asian countries, centering on Sustainable Design, Artificial Intelligence Art, and Future Lifestyles to present cutting-edge design concepts and cross-disciplinary achievements.

As an important platform for design exchange under the "Belt and Road" initiative, Asia Design Week has specially brought a number of highlight exhibits.

Eco-friendly lamps made from cow dung and bags crafted from树叶原材料 from Indonesia, with their unique material innovation and artistic expression, attracted the attention of multiple mainstream domestic and international media outlets.

Exhibits integrated with Hebei's industries, such as the bicycle works on display, received significant attention from leaders due to their alignment with local industrial development directions.

Numerous On-Site Cooperation Discussions: Boosting Hebei Industries with International Design

During the exhibition, relevant leaders from the Hebei Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology personally led a tour of the exhibition area and actively facilitated in-depth exchanges between Asian design institutions and local enterprises. Industrial cooperation discussions were held focusing on green materials, intelligent manufacturing, and cultural and creative products. This not only promoted the connection between international design achievements and Hebei's local industries but also introduced new international resources and innovative momentum for regional economic development.

Amplifying Asian Design, Championing Emerging Creativity

In addition to the exhibition, Mr. Li Sheng, Founder of Asia Design Week, actively participated in significant concurrent events. During the "Xiong'an Design Digital Intelligence Forum" on the afternoon of September 21st, Mr. Li Sheng was invited to moderate the roundtable dialogue "Intelligent Innovation Integration: Activating the Core Power of Innovative Design." The dialogue guests included Professor Qiu Xinxian, Specially Appointed Dean of the Harbin Institute of Technology, Shenzhen International School of Design / School of Future Design, and Mr. Liu Yudong, Vice President of Products at Guangdong Zhiyong Kaiwu Artificial Intelligence Technology Co., Ltd. The three guests engaged in an in-depth discussion on intelligent design, the integration of industry, academia, and research, and future innovation paths.

At the International New Product Launch on September 22nd, Li Sheng delivered a keynote speech titled "Connecting Asia Through Design: Building a New Platform for Cultural Exchange and Design Innovation." He systematically shared the key activity modules of Asia Design Week in recent years, including the Asian Vanguard Art and Design Award (AVADA) , the International Poster Exhibition of Asian Urban Culture, the China-ASEAN Design Convergence series of events, and the international journal Design and Art Studies. He also previewed the launch of the 2026 Asian Vanguard Art and Design Award (AVADA) , inviting enterprises and organizations to jointly initiate special tracks and collaborate to support industrial integration and innovative development. Furthermore, he announced that the exhibition tour for outstanding works of the Asian Vanguard Art and Design Award (AVADA) is actively being planned and prepared.

In addition, during the exhibition period of Asia Design Week, the exhibits were featured and reported by media outlets including CCTV News Broadcast, Hebei Satellite TV, China Xiong'an Net, Hebei Workers' Daily, Hebei Economic Daily, The Great Wall New Media, and Jiyun.

During the exhibition period, in addition to actively participating in various activities at the main venue, Mr. Li Sheng, Founder of Asia Design Week, was invited to the Dingzhou branch venue to attend the opening ceremony and deliver a keynote speech on September 25th. Relevant leaders from the provincial and municipal governments, along with important guests from the industrial design industry, were present at the event. In his speech, Mr. Li Sheng emphasized that design innovation is not only the core driving force for the development of new quality productive forces but also a crucial bridge connecting industrial upgrading with international exchange. He called for empowering through design to further stimulate Hebei's potential in areas such as industrial clusters, intelligent manufacturing, and cultural creativity, and to promote deeper integration of more international design resources with Hebei's local industries.

In the future, Asia Design Week will continue to collaborate with Hebei International Industrial Design Week, deepening cooperation with countries along the "Belt and Road" and global design institutions. This aims to promote the implementation and application of design achievements in Hebei, serving the sustainable development of the regional economy and society.
